We are often asked about Gilles' system so we created this page for you. We are not endorsing any products nor are we affiliated with third party companies used in this system. Now, before we dig into it let's just say that the picture above is out-dated but we will place a newer one soon. The founder's system is pretty much what we demonstrated at CES 2002. In fact, IT IS what we demonstrated at CES2002, the entire system demonstrated there was taken right out of the owner's living room for the demonstration. The main reason for this is that we were introducing the brand new Silver Series line of products which had barely hit the market as of January 2002.

The system is comprised of a Pioneer DV-AX10 CD/DVD/SACD transport (modified by the onwer to output SACD DSD stream), an Odéon-Ag 24 bits DAC with the hyper stable local clock option and three Pleyel-Ag amplifiers. Two amplifiers are used in monoblock/bridge configuration with the sub-woofers which do require more power. The third amplifier is used in a stereo on the top-end and was modified to incorporate an active cross-over required by the speaker system. The speakers are Cabasse Baltic/ Stromboli combo. The Baltic (the spheres) are high-efficiency (93.5dB) speakers that take care of the top-end spectrum while the stromboli subwoofers having a lower efficiency (89dB), do require more power.

The system is further completed by an Integra receiver (modified to output digital PCM audio), a HiFi VCR, a modified Sony DV-MC2, a multi-media computer and a Plasma TV set bringing the joys of home theater entertainment to the bliss of high-end audio.
